So the plane did leave OKC overnight last night to Atlanta for the people ultimately going to FPC Montgomery, FCI Talladega, and FPC Pensacola but I was not on it. I was a somewhat shocked because my cellie, who was with me and I know from Yazoo, arrived with me on the same day to Oklahoma City, so we had been here the same amount of time. He is ultimately going to the satellite camp at FCI Talladega. Two guys in the unit who are ultimately going to FPC Montgomery (where I am going) left also and they had been here maybe 3-4 days longer then me. What was odd is there were probably 5 guys going to FPC Pensacola, all who had been in OKC way less time than me (some as few as 5 days), left on the Atlanta plane. The Bureau of Prisons “The BOP” is also often monikered “Backwards on Purpose” by inmates because there is so much that we encounter on a daily basis that makes little to no logical or even common sense. All of that to say I am not really upset about being left behind because I really did not want to spend the holiday in Atlanta. As I have posted previously, Atlanta is supposed to be incredibly filthy with terrible living conditions including bad food and being locked down all if not all but 3 hours of the day in your cell. The bus from Atlanta to Montgomery runs every other Monday so I am praying that this coming Monday is the off week for the bus and then I am on the plane to Atlanta next Tuesday or Wednesday. That way I would catch the bus that next Monday and I would limit my time in Atlanta.

On another note a guy in our dorm got here a few days ago who did several years at FPC Montgomery before getting out about a year ago and is now going back on a probation violation. He gave me the lay of the land and told me all about it, and it sounds as good as prison can possibly get. In my next post I will go into details on what he said my future home will be like.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July.
